Maps are provided for your use, but please return them when finished. Trails change often, observe all signs posted with regard to trail use.

Be Prepared

Be aware that much of the area looks alike and some trail signs might not be present. Use appropriate navigation tools (map, compass, gps) and carry plenty of water, food and survival gear.

Weather

The mountain weather changes often and can be very drastic. Plan accordingly and dress in layers.

Pack it In - Pack it Out

Whatever you take on your trip, make sure it comes out with you - including trash, food, peels, etc. If it grows here, you can leave it here, otherwise, it needs to come back out.

Trail Access

The National Forest boundary is 2 miles south/east on Schubarth Trail. The Farish Air Force Recreation Area that borders Yurtopia is for active or retired military personnel. Please keep on Schubarth Trail until reaching the National Forest unless you have a valid US Military ID. No motorized vehicle activity of any kind is permitted on Farish trails.
